Kat was great with our 110 pound lab Boone! Not only did she take care of him by playing with him in the yard and giving him lots of loving....She took him on multiple walks/runs during her visits. She was very professional on the business side of things. Kat made sure she had everything that she would need to know about Boone's behavior, diet, likes/dislikes. I felt very comfortable leaving our fur baby in her hands and Boone loved the energy and care she gave him while we were away! I will be recommending her to any of our friends and family with pets!"

My pups and I have been fortunate enough to have Kat with us for over the last 6 years, they adore her and she is so awesome with each of them. Kat helps put my obsessive mind at ease when she is with them when we are away. Only the best for my pups. Thank you Kat!
Kat has been to our home numerous times to house-and-dog sit as well as to walk our two hounds. She is probably the most energetic person I've ever met -- AND -- our hounds just love her! She is always on time and very responsible. She goes above and beyond to care for our home and dogs while she is here. Kat gives her undivided attention to our hounds when she takes them on walks; she focuses on them and NOT on her cell phone. I really appreciate that. I would highly recommend Kat to anyone needing pet services. You won't be disappointed.
From time to time, I'm asked whom I use for Pet Sitting. I've needed to travel often, even during the pandemic, and I've been very grateful for Kat Penney's support and service. I've used Kat for the past three years and can recommend her without hesitation.
In the past, I've made some regrettable choices with pet sitters. One of them was using their phone while handling the two leashes with her other hand and one of the dogs pulled the leash out of her hand. That resulted in a two week stay with the veterinarian while I was out of town. Another time, I got a call from my closest neighbor telling me the garage door had been left open overnight. Yet another time, I had contracted with a pet sitter to come by 7am in the morning to let the dogs out but the security system showed he came at 11am. I could go on but the point is, I put a premium on hiring a reliable pet sitter who does what we've discussed and does it well.
Kat isn't the least expensive but she's the best of the best in her profession. She has a terrific work ethic, high integrity, loves animals, and is dead reliable in all aspects. When I'm gone for two weeks, the house is as clean when I return as it was when I left. She changes the bed and bath linens, making it ready for the next guest. She waters the plants when needed, brings in the mail, walks the dogs at a park twice a day, plays frisbee with the hyperactive dog, feeds twice a day, sends messages and pictures to me each day, letting me know how it's going and whether there are any issues.
As Kat's business has flourished, she has needed to hire help. She interviews meticulously, provides hours of training for her employees, does a background check and does the initial house calls and walks with them to ensure quality. She is insured.
When Kat stays overnight, she and her husband come together.
If you have a pet sitting requirement, she's a great resource.
We love our 1.5 year-old Hollycat in a kind of insane way, to the point where we probably pay too much attention to her. The world revolves around her, basically (and she knows it) so I feel extreme "mommy guilt" whenever we go on vacation. We've never really left her alone overnight before--I've asked family members to stay the night! None were in town last weekend and I was worried. Kat to the rescue! She didn't stay the night because she had another overnight gig nearby, but she did check in 3 times a day and sent photos and reports each time. They all made me smile. Because Kat asked lots of questions before we left, Hollycat was able to stick to her princess routine. I could tell she had so much fun and plenty of love because she didn't act needy or huffy when we returned--a first! Also, she's not usually quick to warm up to strangers, so that's another testament to how amazing Kat is. I'll never worry about leaving town again (or drive my family crazy by demanding they come stay the night, haha)!
